BAIC brand launched in Mexico

On June 2, The BAIC Brand Mexico Launch Conference & Opening Ceremony of BAIC’s First 4S Store in Mexico took place in Mexico City, capital of Mexico. Representatives from the Mexican government, BAIC’s Mexican partner, mainstream Mexican media, and Chinese enterprises were all present. Mr. Wei Huacheng, vice chairman of BAIC Group and executive director of BAIC International, attended the launch ceremony and unveiled BAIC Mexico.

At the launch conference, Mr. Wei noted that BAIC has persistently promoted the implementation of its globalization strategy through globalized industrial innovation, worked out a long-term strategic plan integrating “trade, investment, brand building, and the Internet”, as well as developed traditional and new energy vehicles. With the establishment of BAIC Mexico as the starting point, while becoming Mexico’s “economic citizen,” BAIC will build an industrial base in Mexico, unify its traditional vehicle sector, new energy vehicle sector, automotive parts sector, general aviation sector, facility agriculture sector, financial service sector, and more. It will also bring Mexico tangible benefits such as global investment, employment increase, tax revenue increase, industrial upgrading, and environmental improvement.Wei stressed that BAIC would launch automotive finance products based on Mexico’s current system and provide Mexican consumers with the ‘Best Service in the Town’. As a product and solution provider in Beijing, the world’s largest city for demonstrative operation of electric vehicles, BAIC will, together with the Mexican government and people, introduce the domestic experience of electric vehicle application, quality products, and complete system solutions for Mexico to facilitate travel and improve the environment.

As the world’s seventh largest vehicle manufacturing country and fourth largest vehicle exporting country, with sound laws and regulations, as well as good conditions for auto industry development, Mexico is an important strategic base targeting Central and South America, and a springboard towards North America. BAIC will work with local partners to introduce BAIC’s products to Mexico, build a vehicle plant in Mexico to launch BAIC’s new traditional gasoline and electric vehicles, create a business platform for international trade, investment cooperation and brand building, so as to gradually build Mexico into a strategic regional center radiating throughout the Americas.

The successful launch of the BAIC brand is the result of BAIC’s keeping with the business policy of “Overall distribution, Early planning, Key breakthroughs, and Steady operation” and operating in Mexico for three years under the national strategy of “Belt and Road Initiative” and accomplish BAIC’s globalized industrial innovation. In the next stage, BAIC will take root in Mexico, establish a new model for international business model innovation, constantly improve the system capacity of the whole industry chain, and change from a “traveler” into a “settler,” thus making a greater contribution to the fast implementation of BAIC’s globalization strategy.
